I an not a local but do come into Hamilton to specifically shop at Second Chance. Having a 25 year old daughter who loves fashion, only makes the trip twice as fun. The selection is always current and suitable for all ages and the two sisters who own the business are very personal and friendly. We always leave with a few excellent pieces that I know had we shopped in Halton or Toronto would have cost double the money. My favorite consignment store.

I was very surprised to read the review of the other writer here. I have shopped on and off in this store for 6 years. Even when I left Hamilton, I made a point of stopping in to Second Chance whenever I could. I have always found both owners to be very warm and helpful (please note that just through happenstance, I am usually dressed very down when I drop by there) I highly recommend this store; I have bought items ranging from $8 - $80 and have always felt I have gotten great style and value.

Like this comment, I too do not live in the area. Having had the luck of stumbling on this fresh boutique with gently worn consigned items, I have never experienced arrogance from the owner. They have both always been helpful in finding sizes for me , helping me pair items with what I may have brought along to match up with something. In fact, I have even a wish list with them. I ask for a specific item and if it comes in , I get first dibs to try it on!I love the fact that many items are pinned with fashion excerts out of recent magazines that allow myself to see this item fashionably similar to big price designer clothes. Oh yes, did I mention , I lve in the U.S. and send my own clothes to be consigned here. No one else pays 50% to their consignees.After 20 years in the business, I hope Second Chance is here for a very long time!!!

Second Chance carries some decent clothing but the service is very cold and strangely stuck-up. The owner is not particularly welcoming and comes across as arrogant and difficult to deal with.
