I was disappointed with the customer service during my recent visit to PetSmart. Today I was there around 2.30 to 2.45pm. The cashier was very unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting customers. She asked me to pick up the bag and pack my own items, even though that is normally part of the cashier’s service. I understand everyone can have a busy day, but basic customer service and politeness should still be maintained. I hope the management improves staff training and customer experience in the future.

I’ve been going to PetSmart for over 4 years and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had, and honestly, it’s becoming a pattern.

The management here is completely disorganized and clearly does not respect customers’ time or responsibilities as pet owners. I booked a grooming appointment 4 weeks in advance. Then I get a last-minute call saying the groomer is “unavailable.” No proper planning, no backup, just the usual “unfortunately, we apologize.”

I tried calling the entire next day and no one bothered to pick up. Then they rescheduled me again, only to cancel AGAIN on the day of the appointment. At this point, my dog has been waiting over 2 extra weeks because of THEIR poor management.

What’s worse is the attitude. It’s always the same scripted apology with zero accountability. Even speaking to the manager was pointless, completely unprofessional and no real solution offered.

They clearly don’t understand that grooming isn’t optional, it’s important for a dog’s health. Nor do they care about people’s work schedules or the effort it takes to plan these appointments.

If you value your time and your pet’s care, I would seriously think twice before relying on this location.

I took Zoë to this location today. Maria, the groomer, did an amazing job grooming my Frenchie Zoë! She clearly loves what she does. Zoë came back looking clean, happy, and absolutely adorable. Maria took great care of her and paid attention to all the details. I’m very happy with the service and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Maria!”

Today (April 7, 2026 at 2:30 PM), I had a grooming appointment for my dog at the PetSmart in 76 Quarry Corners, Brampton and I just want to share how amazing my experience was.

Before going, I had read quite a few negative reviews, but I decided to see for myself, especially because my dog means everything to me. Honestly, I’m so glad I did.

From the moment I walked in, the service was excellent. The cashier noticed I was a bit lost and kindly guided me to the grooming area. Once there, I was welcomed by a very professional and friendly groomer (I believe her name was Aleks). She took the time to clearly explain everything and carefully checked my dog.

While speaking with her, I noticed the team working in the background, calm, focused, and clearly dedicated. The environment was quiet and organized, and all the dogs I saw looked incredibly well-groomed and happy.

Aleks built trust with my dog right away. He was a little nervous at first, but she handled him with such care and patience that he quickly relaxed. That meant a lot to me.

They also kept their word about timing. I received a call about 30 minutes before he was ready, which I really appreciated. When I returned, I even got to see her finishing up with him.

The final result was exactly what I hoped for — my dog looked clean, happy, and perfectly groomed. Aleks also took the time to explain how everything went and gave helpful feedback about his behavior.

What stood out most to me was her genuine love for animals and her professionalism. You can tell she truly cares.

I think it’s important to say this: if something isn’t right, we should speak up in the moment and give the staff a chance to address it. Reading only negative reviews almost stopped me from coming here and that would have been a mistake.

I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you to Aleks and the whole team for such a great experience!

We took our 6 months old puppy for grooming. He was anxious. The staff at grooming salon refused to do his haircut. The very next day I took my puppy to another grooming salon and they handled him professionally and gave him a perfect haircut. I believe the staff at PetSmart is not trained to deal with small puppies.

Last Wednesday, I went to the Petsmart located at 76 Quarry West Drive in Brampton. I was looking for a calming spray for my puppies. I went online and saw the product that I needed, subsequently went to the closest Petsmart that was located near my work. Once, I arrived at the store, the first staff member smiled and then I asked if they had a calming spray for my puppies. She asked, me do know what you want, checked her scanner and told, me to go to aisle 8 in the store. She never bothered to stop cutting up her boxes and show me where the product was. I went to aisle 8 and there was another staff member that didn't even bothered to ask me if, I needed help looking for a product. She was to engaged in her conversation with another customer and no time did she ask me if I needed any help. Her conversation more important then the needs of another customer. Eventually after 15 minutes she finished her conversation and walked away to the back of the store. I had to read the instructions of the product and go online to learn more about the product before I purchased it. I gave this Petsmart a 1 rating but if I had my way it would be a zero.
The customer service at this Petsmart location extremely bad and they need to knowledge all customers and be more helpful. They need to be more engaged with there customers needs, then there own private conversations and lack of helping when needed. I have been to many other Petsmart in Mississauga, Toronto and in the Durham region where I have had outstanding customer service experience.
The staff at this location needs better training on customer service and treating there customers as very important people when they are in there store.

Got a beta fish from this location. The staff were so helpful and made sure we knew exactly what to do to take care of the fish.

Extremely Unprofessional & Unsafe Grooming Experience

I am writing this review after multiple disappointing and distressing experiences at this PetSmart location, specifically with the grooming team.

Over the past few visits, we have noticed a consistent pattern: any grooming appointment scheduled after 6:30–7 PM results in rushed, careless, and arrogant service from the staff.

1st Incident:
Our dog was brought back without even being properly bathed. They had simply applied powder to make it look like he was groomed. When we raised the concern, we were told we “should have booked an earlier appointment” if we expected proper service.

2nd Incident:
During another grooming appointment, my dog’s left leg nail was clipped too short, causing him pain, bleeding, and emotional trauma. No accountability was taken by the staff.

3rd Incident (Final Visit – Today):
Before today’s grooming appointment, we informed the groomer (Alyssa) and the staff about the previous injury and requested extra caution. Their response was extremely arrogant. Alyssa openly said they “don’t take any guarantee,” and despite acknowledging the need for careful inspection, refused to use a flashlight because she “did not have time.”
When we simply asked if they cared about our dog, she became hostile, grabbed our signed form, threw it in the garbage, and cancelled our appointment right in front of us. Another staff member, who wasn’t even at the counter earlier, came out aggressively and added to the rude behaviour.

For a place that claims to care for pets, the behavior of these employees showed the exact opposite. For us, our dog is family — not “just a dog.” The lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism is shocking.

We have been loyal PetSmart customers for years, but this was the final nail in the coffin. We will never return to this or any PetSmart location again.
PetSmart needs to take strict action against employees who treat customers and their pets with such disrespect. Hire staff who truly care about animals and understand the responsibility that comes with handling someone’s beloved pet.

This experience has left a lasting negative impression of the brand, and I hope management seriously reviews the conduct of the grooming staff at this location.

Review for PetSmart - 76 Quarry Edge Dr– Brampton’s Corner (September 6, 2025)

I had a very distressing experience at this PetSmart location during my miniature poodle’s grooming appointment. My 1-year-old poodle was attended by a groomer named “Aaliyah”.

Within 30 minutes of leaving my dog, I received a call asking me to come back because the grooming “could not be completed” as she is not capable to finish the grooming. Upon returning, I was shocked and horrified at the condition of my pet. One leg, one ear, and part of his head had been shaved down to the skin in an uneven, careless manner. This was not what we were told or consented to — we were shown a chart indicating how much length of hair would remain after the trim, but what was done to my dog was nothing close to that. It looked rushed, unprofessional, and traumatic.

The groomer did not even attempt proper grooming techniques with scissors or professional tools before resorting to this patchy shaving. In my opinion, this shows a complete lack of training, skill, and care. Pets are not safe in the hands of people who treat them in such a manner — this borders on cruelty.

When I sought help from the manager “Kim”, instead of showing concern or taking steps to fix the situation, she dismissed my complaint. Even after I insisted that they at least correct the damage they had caused, she refused. Her attitude was unapologetic, unprofessional, and shockingly indifferent. When I told her I would escalate the issue, her response was that any complaint would “come to her only,” as if it did not matter. This kind of behavior is unacceptable when dealing with living, speechless creatures who rely on us for care and safety.

Due to this incident, my pet was in trauma and in shock for 2-3 days. Not even able to eat and sleep properly. This is a pure “Animal Cruelty” by groomer and manager.

On the contrary, later that evening around 7:00 PM, I rushed my pet to the nearest Pet Valu. Their groomer was absolutely shocked to see the condition my dog had been left in. With compassion and professionalism, she immediately took my dog in and began grooming him with utmost care. Despite having already finished her shift, she stayed with us patiently, working until nearly 11:00 PM to comfort my dog and fix the damage as much as possible. Her dedication, skill, and kindness were a blessing — this is the kind of care and respect our pets deserve.

This experience is a direct example of the difference between neglect and true professionalism. PetSmart and their groomers should take serious lessons from places like Pet Valu, where pets are treated with the patience, respect, and humanity they deserve.

Our pets are family, and entrusting them to untrained and careless hands is dangerous. What happened at PetSmart Bovaird Plaza should never happen to anyone else.

I believe that PetSmart Management would take appropriate action against Aaliyah and Kim by recalling their grooming license or training!!

I highly recommend Celeste as a pet trainer! She has been working with my chihuahua mix puppy, Chico, through intermediate training and brain games, and we are about to start advanced training soon. Celeste has a wonderfully holistic approach—she truly meets the emotional needs of Chico while also guiding me to better understand and connect with my pup. Her training style not only improves the dog's behavior but also helps humans become more empathetic and effective in communicating with their pets. Celeste’s methods have made a noticeable positive difference in Chico’s development and our relationship. If you want a trainer who cares deeply about both the dog and owner, Celeste is the one to choose!
