Answer your damn phones, return damn messages, answer or respond to live chat! Thatβs just a few idea. Camper is a disgrace. My items have been in a black hole since Nov 30th, when they got them from Fed Ex out of the USA. Communication has been impossible. What the hell is a customer supposed to do???? π‘π‘π‘

I order online through Amazon and have loved the convenience and speedy delivery. THEN, CANPAR/LOOMIS entered the picture. It has been nothing but a gong show beginning with the first Attempt Notice left by Loomis Express. The online tracking would not recognize the number on the Attempt Notice. I phoned Customer Service 1-855-256-6647 who took my information and assured me they would phone me if there was a problem delivering on the day Loomis had checked off for a Second Attempt. I was on vacation and stayed home all day. No call. No delivery. Customer Service could not locate my package in their system. Four days later, Amazon sent an email stating that my package would arrive by 8pm the next day. I came home from work and stayed in. No delivery. I phoned Customer Service 1-855-256-6647 the following day. Again, Customer Service could not locate my package in their system. The same day, when I arrived home from work an Attempt Notice from Canpar Courier was attached to the door. In tiny print, directions were given to go to the website, enter the delivery number for the pickup location. I phoned the 1-800-387-9335 and heard only excuses about the unexpected volume of deliveries, that many people were phoning and complaining about the service but that this was better than if products had been sent at a later date when the Canada Postal Service was available etc. The pickup location is inconvenient to reach via the transit system and I work the same hours that the pickup location is open for "customer service". Thankfully, my item is a pre-ordered book, hardcover at a paperback price. I'm kissing it good-bye and will wait for the paperback to be available. Lesson learned. Do not make purchases from vendors that use Canpar / Loomis Courier. One star was given as no stars is not an option.

I will never buy from a vendor that uses canpar as their shipping agent.
They only deliver 9-5 when most people are at work, and will not specify a delivery window. They claim to "attempte" a delivery when no such thing occured. The head office doesn't communicate with their deppoes, and have no notion of customer service.
I was told my item needs to be stored in a secure lock up, and than they left it in some East Van grocery store for pick up instead of their depo.
It would have been more convenient and faster for me to walk and pick up my parsel than to have it delivered by canpar!

My parcel is very late, I've called a few times and either been hung up on or told that they would call me back, which they never did.
Looks like this isn't an isolated incident either, canpar messes up all the time. I don't know how they are still in business.
My advice is to never hire this company. It's been nothing but a nightmare to deal with, and I still don't have my parcel.

1st attempt I wasn't home, understandable, and I got a delivery attempt notice saying another attempt would be made the next day. Stayed home all day (and I have a notice stating to call so I can meet you at my gate...which is only 90 ft from my front door). Only to find another slip in my mailbox, saying another attempt would be made. I called on the 3rd 'attempt' day to find out, they only guarantee ONE attempt between 9am-6pm and I was "LUCKY" to have the second attempt. I clearly proved (with the slip) that the driver said he was coming the next day. They said the driver made an error and I have the option of driving an hour to pick it up, OR, pay $10+taxes for another delivery attempt. Emails and calls to both head office, the 1-800 # and my 'local' depot were nothing short of;
"We just scammed you, deal with it."
I just got another email, with a "SORRY" and "We'll forward this to our operations"
I only gave this one star because it isn't optional.... if they had a -10 star, I would have chosen that. DO NOT send your family and friends anything with them, unless you like to torture them and cost them money. I paid for the extra attempt... and because I was a little 'difficult', they actually left my package where I instructed. (I don't think they wanted to hear from me again) My advice to everyone with the same bad experience is to make a complaint with the BBB. I've looked, and I think I'll be the first person to report this scam.
Think about it, how many reviews say the same thing, if you pay the $10+++++ for another attempt like I did... after they have been paid from the sender....(or you can drive to get it)
Note:
I was told that drivers do not carry cell phones (????????) and that is why they could not call me when they were at my gate.
I have a notice slip saying a driver would make another attempt the next day and when I called, NOPE, and now you either have to come pick it up or PAY for another attempt...even though I sent off proof. In my books, a company tells you to be home from 8-9am-6pm for a delivery but makes a mistake should not charge for the next attempt.
I think what ticks me off the most is the customer service...I get that delivery people can be sideways, but from the TOP of this company to the bottom, it is rotten.

This company is not even located in Vancouver a completely different city, but they deliver in Vancouver. The driver's make NO EFFORT to deliver the parcels. They had both a cell number and a buzz code, and despite people being home waiting all they do is stick a sticker on the outside apartment building door. Then they tell you to pick up the parcel yourself in a city over an hour's drive away in an obscure location which a night mare to find. This is a terrible company with no customer service I would never use this on my own, I will now refuse any merchant who decides to use this company and tell them it is useless and tell them unless they use someone else I will not support their business. In short avoid this company at ALL COSTS. Horrible experience.

For one last attempt I phoned the depot in Burnaby. I spoke with a lovely lady who rescheduled another delivery. Lesson learned - just don't call head office.

This the worse Canada company, it should not exit in the world. 1) They offer to delivery only, and then you have to pay $10 to arranged the 3rd time delivery, otherwise the parcel will be return to the sender.
2) They have less pick up centre, plus the centre is far away from the town centre.
3) Do not buy anything from the seller if they use Canpar services.
4) Mostly from Ebay's sales GSP system. So, tell the seller we won't buy anything from him if they use this system.

4 days in transit from Toronto to Burnaby - right on target if you don't count the weekend. Tracking info kept me informed and ensured I'd be home when the large TV arrived. Pleasant driver who brought it into our home.
I'm pleased that Costco chose Canpar.

Have been dealing with Canpars website for several days now , which does not load and does not track anything . Hopefully i'll get my package one of these days but after reading some of these reviews i'm more than a little worried , i would not have chosen this courier but i guess the US sender just choose the cheapest one possible .

ORDER WAS SHIPPED ON JANUARY 30, 2013. nO TRACKING RESULTS UNTIL I GET A DELIVERY NOTICE ON THE FRONT DOOR OF MY APARTMENT ON FEBRUARY 21 STATING THEY MISSED ME BUT WOULD RETURN ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22. I STAYED HOME ALL DAY AND THEY WERE A NO SHOW. THEY THEN ADVISED THE SHIPPING COMPANY THAT THEY TRIED ON 2 OCCASSIONS TO COMPLETE THE DELIVERY. THEY STATE THEY ATTEMPTED THE DELIVERY ON FEBRUARY 20. NOT TRUE AS I WAS HOME ALL DAY. MY CLAIM IS THAT IF THEY WERE HERE ON THE 20TH I WOULD HAVE SEEN A DELIVERY NOTICE ON THE DOOR. I HAVE STOPPED ORDERING ANY ITEMS FROM THE USA IF THEY USE DHL (CANPAR)

Came home on a Friday to a notice of attempted delivery. No where on the notice is there a phone number or a tracking number.
I emailed Canpar on Friday with my specific contact details noting that I work Monday-Friday and would not be home on Monday when the notice idenified they were going to attempt delivery again.
On Monday, Canpar emailed me telling me I could pick up the delivery at their Burnaby warehouse by 5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Excuse me? I work downtown Vancouver Monday to Friday with no possibility of getting to their Burnaby warehouse by 5:00 PM on a weekday.
I replied to the email telling Canpar just that and asking for a phone number so I could call them to arrange delivery. The reply I got back was that they do not give out phone numbers.
I replied again requesting an agent call me at my work number so we could discuss delivery options and requesting if the delivery could be redirected to my downtown office. I have not heard back from Canpar.

They decided to take the full 14 business days to get my item over to there warehouse. Then when it arrived they called me on a thursday morning. Telling me my product is in and to pick it up at their warehouse. Telling me they "tried" delivering it twice before. I never got a notice or anything on my door. Then when I was about to leave Friday morning to pick it up. They told me my order was shipped back to caynes super houseware. So I just spent a long distance charge on calling them. They told me in about 5 days they should have it and they'll try to get in contact with me when they get it on their end. Just a headache of all headaches.

Worst company to deal with! I had not even heard of this company till now. Better off using a real name company like Canada post, UPS or FedEX. Horrible customer service at their Ontario call center, very unprofessional. Will never ever, ever deal with this company again. What good is a delivery company when your package doesn't even get delivered and you have to go pick it up yourself at the distribution centre? Not only did the sender have to pay for shipping but I had to pay for gas to drive 45mins each way to pick up the packages their drivers could not deliver.

I had the unlucky opportunity to be serviced by canpar, once and never again, bad customer service, representative at the call center in Ontario make desitions on your behalf, don't listen to you, they don't have any poeple skills... I live in Coquitlam and I have to go to Burnaby for pick up, for a parcel sent from Richmond... I rather go to Richmond, save the money and the incovenience to deal with a bad company. I have to say, CANADA POST is the BEST. Shame on you canpar.
