Not only has she brought her expertise to the Michiana community, but she’s also brought care abroad during numerous international mission trips. “I want patients to go home knowing that I listened well and was thorough,” Dr. Shelly said. “When I’m working with a patient, I want them to feel like it’s a partnership of looking at options, and that they have a say in their treatment.” This is Dr. Shelly’s main prerogative- to create a team environment and break down barriers to care.
