I had a bridesmaid dress altered here, and I had a pleasant experience with the owner. She is very polite, friendly, and a Christian woman based on the praise music I consistently heard in the store. However, I am giving my review three stars because it was very expensive, costs were never discussed, and I didn't receive anything itemized. I dropped it off around Sept. 3 or 4 and picked it up on the 25th (so there was no rush charge) and I gave her plenty of time. I should also add that I am pregnant, so my dress needed some big, yet very simple, alterations. Take it in, and hem it up. That's it. My dress had very clean lines so it seemed easy for her to alter. Again, very nice and polite. My dress fits beautifully, and I do enjoy supporting small businesses. I understand pricing reflects skill at the end of the day, but I did feel my pricing for basic alterations was a little outrageous. I have never paid more than $150 for alterations like this (which is why I never asked about pricing, I assumed, which was my fault), and I walked out paying $270. Just a heads-up for others who may be on a budget.

Came here for some alterations on my bridesmaids dress for a friends wedding and I absolutely will not be back. I was charged $165 just for her to take in the bust area and hem the bottom of the dress. Upon return I noticed a stain on the dress and asked Michelle about it and claimed she had no idea where it came from. But I know for a fact I didn’t give her the dress in that condition. The stain even looked like she tried to wipe over it. Which made it worse. Only reason I’m giving her 2 stars and not 1 is because she took $60 off and in my opinion $105 for what I had done was not worth it. Even though the dress fits I definitely will not be back. Now I have to find some cleaners that will be able to get the stain out before the wedding. Oh and she only accepts cash and checks, so if something goes wrong with your service you can’t report it to your bank.

The name of the owner is Michelle. She does not tell you the cost of alterations until you pick up the dress. Considering I have had several dresses altered before, I thought it would cost $80 -$90 per dress. I knew it would cost a lot. However, she charged almost $500 for two dresses to be altered. I have a dress completely resized, cut off and hemmed for $90 (and it was shear!). When I asked why she didn't disclose her charges up front, she responded that she did not have to. She only would tell the cost if questions were asked and that she did not have to tell me the cost upfront. She lied to me and my husband when we called (separately) to ask her about the dresses. She gave us both different stories. She also told us she only accepts cash and I see on Yelp she also accepts credit cards. That was another lie. When my daughter tried the on the dresses, she didn't even alter one of them the way she was supposed to. She said that would cost extra. My daughter clearly stated what she wanted removed from the dress. Very disappointed in the way she runs her business. I would not recommend this lady to anyone!
