We put a deposit down at this school to hold a spot in a class for a specific date and that wasn't honored and she tried to keep the deposit.

Very unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Can't comment on the quality of teaching because im not sure about it but one of the last people i would consider trusting.

Beware before you leave a deposit with this school.

There are always two sides to a story...What actually happened in this situation in reality was this... This student sent a deposit via paypal for a makeup artistry program. We tried to contact the student using the email address provided no less than four times however we did not receive a response. Eventually the student got in touch (she was not checking the email address used provided) eventually she got in touch with us and was disappointed to learn that they was not space in the program she requested... as we had not been able to get in touch with her for more than a month. We switched students around to accommodate her schedule and did our best to organize these changes. After which she then got cold feet and decided not to take the program - which is fine but that is exactly why schools ask for a deposit - as compensation for the admin work it takes to schedule students and in case they cancel ( another student could have had the space. This student then received a full refund via paypal. The energy that one puts towards being negative, vindictive and spiteful would be better spent being creative!!! peace/love/makeup ;-)

The School of Professional Makeup is an excellent makeup school. I completed their makeup art with airbrush course, and the training was comprehensive and excellent. They keep their class sizes smaller so students have more individualized attention. They also provide excellent fieldwork opportunities. I feel totally prepared to start my career as a makeup artist. The school is owned and operated by working, professional makeup artists, who are on top of the latest trends in makeup and what's happening in the makeup artistry industry. The school is also conveniently located in downtown Toronto. I would definitely take more courses at this makeup school in the future.
