I have used this vet hospital on two separate occasions. The first time, my one cat seemed like he was dying- he didn't move, drink, eat, or meow, although sometimes he yelped out in pain. He had gone missing for nearly a week, and returned home like this. He only worsened after a couple days, and I began fearing the worst.
We called North Park and explained the situation. Even though they had no spaces and we couldn't make it until later that night, they allowed us to come in a little after closing so we wouldn't have to pay the 24 hour vet fees. The vet was nice, and knew exactly what was wrong- a UTI of some sort.
Now, he DID suggest a number of expensive procedures (x-rays, possible surgery, various other tests besides urine,etc) that were not exactly necessary, but he gave us lots of options. We simply asked for two estimates- the lowest possible, and his recommendation. We chose the former, which was home care including 14 days of antibiotics, 7 days worth of pain killers, special food and IV fluids (he was also very dehydrated). He recovered. The bill was a couple hundred dollars.

The second time (occurring right now), both my rabbit and my other cat needed attention. Once again, no spaces were available but they double-booked when we explained the rabbit needed more immediate attention (dragging hind legs). We are going later tonight.

North Park is not the cheapest vet ($65 is the initial examination fee, which is more in the middle), but they do go out of their way to help the animals, and I like that.
