I entered this store around 3:30 PM on Friday, July 19th to purchase a SIM card and prepaid phone/data plan. I had just been to the AT&T store across the street and found out my phone was incompatible with their network. I informed the sales rep of this fact and was clear I did not want to make a purchase if the T-mobile network did not work with my phone.

The rep put a SIM card in my phone and set everything up, but then asked for money to activate and test the phone. I declined and started to leave, but the rep said "don't worry, we will take care of it, if it doesn't work." And yes, the service did not work. I asked for a refund and the rep went behind a closed door to speak to the manager. The rep then told me that the purchase was non-refundable.

I asked to speak to the manager and was refused. So, I walked over and knocked on the door. The manager came out and acted extremely perturbed that I disturbed his lunch.

The sales rep lied to the manager and stated they told me the purchase was non-refundable. (Please note two adult witnesses can confirm my story.) The rep kept saying since my phone was the issue, I did not deserve a refund. Worse, he started laughing as if scamming me was funny. He even threw my phone across the table scratching the body. All this in front of the manager who stood there and did nothing.

Understandably I was upset and raised my voice. The manager asked me to leave and I agreed but asked for his name and his bosses name. He refused to give it to me, but pointed to sign with a phone number for complaints.

I took my phone out to take a picture of the sign and him as well, since he refused to identify himself. He then grabbed my wrist and forced my hand down, thus physically assaulting me. He claimed I did not have permission to take his picture. (There is no legal expectation of privacy in a store where the public can enter.) Yet, he was ignorant of the law and instead committed the crime of assault against a 60 year old man.

Next, in the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, another employee put his arms out and kept slapping at my hands
to physically bully me out of the store, all to prevent me from taking a picture.

I had to file a complaint with the T-mobile corporate office to get a refund. I also filed assault charges on the manager with the police. I have also asked multiple times to speak to the owner. To date, the owner has refused to communicate. Seems he/she does not care that his employees scam and slap Seniors.
