She was a post-doctoral fellow in the intramural program at the National Institute for Neurological Diseases and Stroke, NIH, Bethesda, Maryland. She completed a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She joined the radiology faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina in November 2005.
