Had one of their vehicles follow my gf and I dangerously too close before getting on the 417-W then proceeded to aggressively cut us off from behind a semi. Then moments later we witnessed the vehicle nearly clip another driver while trying to make an abrupt lane change without checking. This was on a Sunday a day the store is closed. Driver was very erratic. Would never use their services just based on this impression alone.

Update: Within hours of this post an account on instagram sharing this companies name liked a 5 year old photo of my gf. No response to this at all. What a weird and insanely creepy thing to do. Instead of reaching out and they did a deep dive. Absolutely unhinged behaviour. Not the kind of people I’d trust in my home.

I’ve been loyal Top Hat client for years and have referred many people to use their services. This week I upgraded my single head mini-split vac (ductless AC) to a new, more powerful 3-head system AC/heat pump. Everyone from Sales (Doug), to office (Richard ), to the installation technicians team (Darryl and team, and supervisor, Jonathan) —were absolutely excellent. Respectful, friendly, technically skilled — and helpful (moved and put back a couple of heavy items I was unable to lift), and they did a good clean up job inside and out. You will still need to do a bit of vacuum and dust due to light debris / sawdust, but if that bothers you — you’re being unreasonable). I am very happy with my new system so far for cooling and look forward to using the heat function as a complement to my electric baseboard heating during the winter months. Thanks team! You’re very appreciated!

My wife and I bought a house with a gas fireplace that was not working. After living with it for a few years, we called Top Hat to get it working. Jonathan arrived and diagnosed the problem. He gave me a full cost breakdown and explanation before doing anything. Once I gave him the go ahead, he fixed the issue and made the fireplace look like new. He answered all my questions, of which there were many, and was friendly and polite throughout the appointment. I was very impressed with his work, and I hope his supervisor will see this.

Just had Top Hat Home Comfort in to clean my chimney and I was honestly impressed with how efficient they were. Super quick, professional and no mess left behind. Would definitely recommend them. Also a good reminder to get your chimney cleaned before it becomes a problem.

I shopped around the Ottawa area for a wood fireplace insert and decided on Top Hat based on the price point and the quality of my interactions with Ben the salesperson. We were working with an older home fireplace, and Ben helped us maximize the size of the insert, with some small adjustments to the hearth tile. He was thoughtful in allowing for future gas line hookups should we or future owners change their mind. We are beyond thrilled with the modern look of our RSF 3600i and Ben's support in making our vision into reality.
