My friends and I met for dinner, while we were waiting for the third person so join us the staff was patient and attentive. Our server Alex came around multiple times checking in, super friendly without being pushy, cracked jokes, and made sure we were happy while waiting. Our food came out very quick, Alex came around more for our water and made sure we were satisfied. Overall fantastic service thank you Alex!!

The food was alright. The French dip is absolute buns. Italian nachos were really good. Our server was nice, a little shy and incredibly apologetic. We were giving the brand another try after the Longmont location turned me off from them years ago. There are way better options in town.
Chicago themed, NO Chicago offerings. Disappointed as a Chicago native. False advertisement.
A single thin crust tavern style pizza on the menu, a Chicago restaurant does not make.

I love a great pizza place. So all my food has a really great flavor. The pizza was small but tasted good. My wings were cooked well and the sauce was great. My Caesar salad was so good but my dressing was mixed with my salad. With to go orders, my dressing should be on the side. Lettuce wilts very quickly when wet. That’s my only advice. The chicken was really tasty. Thanks so much!

I am fried pickle connoisseur, and I must say these are in the top five fried pickles I’ve ever had in my life. That is why they are getting 3. The service was meh 🫤 specifically the bar area I sat in the tables behind the bar and OMG it smelled like Pee! Not even playing. It may have been a customer idk but it smelled horrendous. I ended up moving to the front bar when there was a seat vacant and the bartender kept gaslighting me about when he was going to get to me. I was confused why he kept pushing me to the back of the line was the only new customer at the bar for the last 30 min. Nonetheless I got my pickles 30 min later but they were delicious. I would give it another shot maybe 🤔

There are places you walk into expecting very little… and then there are places that quietly, confidently remind you why food still matters.
You don’t come to Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom expecting revelation. It’s not supposed to be a pilgrimage site. It’s a chain, for God’s sake. But every now and then, the universe shrugs, cracks a grin, and serves you something that punches way above its weight.
And on this particular day… it delivered.
We sat down, kids in tow always a wild card, always a test of any establishment’s soul. And then Jayden arrived. Not just a waitress no, that would be an insult but a quiet professional with the kind of instinct you can’t train. The kind you either have… or you don’t.
She read the table like a seasoned poker player.
Effortless recommendations. No script. No hesitation. Just… knowing.
She guided us, adjusted for the kids without making it a production, moved with intention, and made the whole experience feel less like service and more like hospitality the real kind. The kind that makes you feel seen.
Now let’s talk about the pizza.
The Farmer’s Daughter with chicken added because, well, protein matters—arrived like a statement piece. And listen… I’ve eaten pizza in New York, where it’s religion. I’ve had it in Chicago, where it’s a declaration of identity. San Diego, Miami each with their own swagger, their own spin.
But this?
This was balance.
The cheese didn’t suffocate the toppings. The toppings didn’t bully the dough. And the dough… the dough held it all together like a seasoned conductor guiding an orchestra that actually listens.
It wasn’t trying too hard. It wasn’t pretending to be something it’s not. It just worked. Every bite had rhythm. Structure. Intention. That rare moment where you stop mid-chew and think damn… this is actually really good.
And then there was the beer.
A Stone IPA, poured with the kind of precision you’d expect from someone who respects the craft. The head was right. The temperature right. The pour? Clean, confident, almost ceremonial. Like whoever handled that glass understood that beer isn’t just a drink… it’s part of the experience.
And it paired beautifully. Bitter, crisp, unapologetic. The perfect counterpoint to the richness of the pizza.
So here’s the truth.
If you’re in Fort Collins and you’re chasing something that feels honest something that delivers not just flavor, but care… something where the service hits just as hard as the food
You don’t need to overthink it.
You go here.
Because sometimes greatness isn’t found in the places you expect.
Sometimes… it’s sitting right there, in a booth, with your kids laughing, a perfect slice in your hand, and a waitress who just gets it.
