She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia (now known as Augusta University) in 1999. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon in 2002. Dr. Loy began private practice with Internal Medicine Associates of Rockdale in 2002, serving the patients of Rockdale and surrounding counties. She has maintained her board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2002.
