Beware of this company's reimbursement policy. They took out a ACH payment from our bank account without authorization.The policy was already cancelled. They will not reimburse from ACH, but stated a check will be sent more than 15 days later! Bad business practice.

I have a business policy through Selective. I've unfortunately have had two or three claims in the last 7yrs of being insured by them; however, they have always been great to work with. Claims have not been a hassle or problematic for us. They also send me information emails occasionally and alerts about bad weather that is coming our way so we can prepare and hopefully prevent voidable claims. Overall, we have been satisfied with Selective Insurance.

My BRAND NEW 5 DAY OLD CAR was hit by one of their drivers. Took WEEKS for them to be able to get my car into the shop. Were terrible about calling me back I had to call them multiple times a day to try and speak with someone. I’d give them negative stars if I could!

This is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. I was rear ended by someone they insure. Everything I would call no one would answer, I never received a call back many emails that have not been answered. And now I'm receiving medical bills they should have payed and when I call them now I only get told that the claim was closed witch no one told me and nothing can be done. They didn't pay for the time I had to be off work or anything. This company is a joke absolutely ridiculous. It should be illegal to treat poeple this poorly.

Very upset with this company. My husband and I insured our house all of our vehicles and small trailer and large fifth wheel camper with them. We had a problem with them about 10 years ago when our travel trailer was involved in a flood. Had to argue with them over the camper it was only a few months old after all that we switched to Progressive for camper. Now our house has hail damage and won't cover for hail damage the adjuster said it was normal wear and tear yet all my neighbors next to me across the street and other neighbors got their roof replaced due to hail damage. We have hail damage on the roof down spouts and gutters. GET A CLUE Selective!!!!!!!!
