Dr. Willner completed his medical degree (M.D.) at the SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York in 1990. He then completed a two-year fellowship in gastroenterology at the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York in 1995, followed by a one-year fellowship in liver disease at the University of Tennessee in 1996. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
