I am extremely pleased with The Green Cocoon for their work on replacing my attic insulation. The 6-person crew that arrived first all worked in the attic to bag and remove the old insulation very quickly, vacuumed, sealed all cracks, installed rafter vents and soffit baffles. Then a 2-man crew arrived and added R30 Rockwool on the Skylight walls in the attic and over 100 bags of R50 insulation throughout the ceiling totaling over 15". And lastly, they installed an insulated dome over the pull-down stairway.

I could not be more pleased with the scheduling, cost and installation, and I highly recommend Candace and her excellent team!

I would highly recommend this company. Stating with the estimate to the final product which I had fiberglass insulation put in the crawlspace. They answered all the MANY questions with the answers right away. Mike and his team of insulators did a great job and they followed up right away with the pictures and left the area spotless.

We chose Green Cocoon based on their detailed proposal and the thorough conversations we had before signing the contract. Unfortunately, once the contract was signed, the organization and communication we initially experienced disappeared. Scheduling became incredibly difficult, with calls and emails going unanswered. On two occasions the crew simply didn't show up on the days we had confirmed. We rearranged work schedules to be home for these appointments, yet no apologies or explanations were offered beyond "we mixed up the dates."

The first phase of the project, coordinated with our roofing company, was especially frustrating. The insulation crew arrived without any understanding of the plan and without the equipment they needed, forcing them to leave and return later. This delayed our roofers and put us in an uncomfortable position having to explain the situation.

Scheduling the second half of the job was equally challenging. When the crew finally arrived, they again seemed unaware of what was supposed to be done, and ultimately did not complete all the work outlined in our contract. This required scheduling a third visit, during which the team showed up without proper tools and had to borrow ours in order to finish removing old insulation.

We requested a specialist afterward to confirm that everything had finally been completed, but this amounted only to a brief walkthrough and quick scan of the areas.

While the insulation work itself appears to have been done well, the management and scheduling process was exceptionally poor. We shared all of these concerns with the only contact we were able to reach, yet received no real acknowledgment or resolution. Unless Green Cocoon makes significant improvements to their scheduling and internal communication, I cannot recommend them. I genuinely hope the end result of the work holds up over time, but the experience getting there was unnecessarily stressful.

The crew was very professional and clean and we’re very happy with how the worked turned out. Communication about scheduling could have been better, but we plan to use them again for our attic. These guys gave me a fair price and were very accommodating. I had a tough project, and some other contractor delays led us to reschedule several times. Ultimately, they subbed out the job to another small, local company they trusted in order to help us stay on schedule and those guys did a great job. Zero issues in inspection, though I did have to call back to have their sub clean up a couple items (done in less than 24hrs) - really can't ask for much more. 5 stars well earned on this job.

I’m a local contractor. I use green cocoon whenever i have a job that i need spray foam on. Always great to work with from start to finish. The estimator, the job schedule coordinator, and the installers all friendly, pleasant and easy to work with. Things get done when they are scheduled to be done, installers are communicative, leave no mess behind, give you call when they’re done. Building inspectors(and myself) appreciate that everything is done to code. Quoted price is what you pay. Having good subcontractors is crucial to my business as I have a small company and can’t have any hangups on things I sub out. Green Cocoon gets my top marks. I wouldn’t think of calling anyone else for my insulation.

And one we would probably have skipped in hindsight. While the insulation project on our 1900s house siding didn’t go as smoothly as we’d hoped, the company ultimately demonstrated accountability and made significant efforts to ensure reparation in the end.

We chose Green Cocoon for their eco-conscious reputation and positive reviews. The initial estimate process with Candace was promising, but issues multiplied during the job. Work was rescheduled multiple times, and when it began, we were caught off guard by insulation blowing through interior walls and dust accumulating on furniture and electronics. Despite requesting updates on progress so we could prepare, communication fell short.

The job site was left messy each day, and when finished, we discovered extensive damage to the siding throughout. Shingles were carelessly removed, poorly reinstalled, or left dangling, leaving our home exposed to the elements. Efficiency Maine’s inspection confirmed the work did not meet their standards. To add to the frustration, billing was disorganized, with multiple invoices and unexpected charges stemming from an error in the original estimate which was acknowledged but not owned.

Months later, still dissatisfied, after posting my initial Google review, Jim reached out to discuss our concerns. This conversation was a turning point. Jim listened to us with patience and genuine understanding, acknowledged the mistakes, and worked with us to create a plan for resolution. His commitment to making things right was a breath of fresh air in the overall process.

While we would have preferred to avoid the challenges we faced, we are ultimately happy with the accountability for the end result. Our experience with Green Cocoon started out at 4 stars, moved through 1star and strongly finished at 5 stars.
We recently worked with Green Cocoon to insulate our 100-year-old home. Our experience was one of growth and resolution—a testament to a company that values accountability and customer satisfaction.

The initial phase of the process, including job estimation, was excellent. We felt confident moving forward. However, during the job itself, we had concerns about some of the processes, were disappointed with the housekeeping, and ultimately felt dissatisfied with the state in which our home was left.

I recently had Green Cocoon spray foam my airstream trailer. This job was extremely difficult work and they handled it with ease. Everyone was very professional. Candice in sales was on time and always available. Jonathan and his helper worked tediously to make sure the overspray was minimal. I'm extremely happy with them and I definitely recommend them.

3rd time using The Green CoCoon and very satisfied. Their crews are very professional, do excellent work and leave the site clean. They always check in and make certain we are satisfied before leaving. Our latest job was finishing the main roof of our house. We previously had them do the roof on a "bonus room" / extension and when finishing the current work, they made sure to seal / tie-into the bonus room roof making sure there were no gaps. Highly recommend them
