He remained on the faculty at SUNY Downstate for seven years following residency until 1995 when he joined a private practice in Putnam County, New York, as well as joining the faculty of New York Medical College. He returned to Brooklyn in 2008 to manage the Stroke service at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
