This is the worst company to deal with. I've been waiting since January for new cheques to be issued, was told they'd be in the mail May 1st.......nothing - 5 months so far!!!

I loathe dealing with this Company. For a couple years now they've been dragging me through red tape just to be able to transfer my money out. I've sent in multiple forms and they reject them over some technicality or say I missed one so have to send the additional form. Then its oh you need to resend the form again as we never received it. You call multiple times and the conversation always goes something like 'oh we sent our response to you in the mail with the forms for you to redo, havent you received them yet?' Here it takes weeks on end to receive mail from them, average time is 6 weeks for some reason I've found. Very frusturating. High admin fees too. They've given me the impression they want to hold onto your money as long as they can.

This is only because you need to give at least 1 star. What a terrible company to deal with. I sent in my tax exemption form for US stock 4 times. Every time nothing changes.
Then I have been trying to get my stock out of their control and into a proper share management platform and even CIBC can't find a way to get it done.
Takes weeks to get a login and good luck trying to talk to someone.
How this company can still exist is beyond me. Even government platforms are better and easier to work with...which speaks volumes! Terrible!

I have been trying to transfer shares from Computershare to another institution for 2 years and they keep giving me the run around. Their stance often directly contradicts information given to me from another financial institution. They are not helpful when trying to resolve even minor issues, providing the minimum information they can to try to get you off the phone. If you want to work with them you better have the level of knowledge of a financial broker yourself in order to navigate the hoops they put in your way, or try to access your own account to make changes.
