Our experience with Custom Contracting Inc. has been extremely disappointing and frustrating!

We hired Custom Contracting to assess a roofing issue at our home, expecting a proper inspection and clear professional guidance. After their assessment, we were advised that a partial roof repair would address the problem, and we relied on that recommendation. We later discovered that the underlying issue had not been properly identified during the initial inspection. Had the root cause been accurately diagnosed from the start, we would never have agreed to the proposed work or entered into the contract.

In December, we paid a deposit of nearly $2,000 for the job. Since then, no work has been started, no materials have been ordered or delivered, and nothing has been completed.

We have made repeated attempts by phone and in writing to cancel the project, request an itemized accounting of any charges, and seek a refund for the unearned deposit. Every time we call, the receptionist tells us that our request has been escalated to the management team and that someone from customer care will contact us promptly to provide an itemized breakdown and work toward an appropriate resolution, including refunding any unearned deposit.

Despite hearing this same response over and over, no one ever follows up. We have received no meaningful communication, no documentation, no explanation of any actual costs, and no resolution. We have effectively been ignored since December over a job the company never started.

This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and a very disappointing way to treat customers, especially after taking such a significant deposit. Based on our experience, we strongly encourage anyone considering this company to carefully review their contract terms, make sure the scope of work has been properly assessed, and think twice before paying a large deposit.

Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company.

These people replaced my eavestrough but from the get go it's been a struggle. Initial work was done during COVID and was not done well. One of the techs appeared under the influence. I almost sent them away and I should have. The company sent a tech out out who admitted the work was sub par. There were problems with the original install but he was by himself and couldn't fix. There was no follow up. I eventually called back and a couple of techs were sent to repair deficiencies which they did, however, they asked to borrow my ladder to do some work and it now has a huge cut, that I just noticed, in one of the rails which basically renders it useless. I know it was them because other than myself, they are the only other ones to have used the ladder. I don't use it a lot and I don't do any circular saw cutting near it when I do. Ok, mistakes happen but I'd like a new ladder please. So far, I cannot recommend this company

We called them because we needed a large store front window cleaned quick, fast and in a hurry. They came out the next day after we called and did a fantastic job! We now have them scheduled for a monthly cleaning and we also highly recommend them to anyone else needing such services!
