Everytime I come to this store I feel like someone spit in my mouth. The casual disrespect I get from the people here is awful. I'm a god damn paying customer and I get treated like I'm a bum coming in to use the bathroom. I mean everyone. From the old dude that re-strings guitars to the kid with the mustache and long hair. Is everybody high or do they just hate their job. I'm sorry I am not a rich yuppie coming around to blow $5k on gear once a month.

I stopped by to check out a Cry Baby Wah pedal. Service was spectacular and they answered all my questions and then some. I was able to get a used pedal for $5 more than marketplace and try it out all I want. Staff was willing to setup a guitar again for me overnight so I could test it out the next day. Best Guitar Center experience I’ve ever had. Thanks everyone!

Had been in years and years ago. But I wanted a guitar I owned, let's say in the 90's not to date myself, and there are only a few left, and they had one. Shipped in a case, wrapped in bubble wrap, then packed with paper. No damage, and was stoked to get it within 4 days of purchase.

Best guitar shopping experience hands down
I’ve been to a lot of music stores over the years, but Guitar Center in [your city/Appleton area or just “my local”] absolutely crushed it today.
Walked in looking for a new electric guitar in the $600–$900 range and left with exactly what I wanted — plus a couple “while I’m here” upgrades I didn’t even know I needed.
What stood out:
• Huge selection — they had every color and finish of the PRS SE Custom 24 I was eyeing, plus about 8 other guitars I had on my short list to try.
• The staff were actual players, not just salespeople. My guy (shoutout to Mike/Dan/whoever helped you) spent a solid 40 minutes letting me A/B different amps and pedals without once making me feel rushed.
• Setup on the floor models was legitimately good — action was low, intonation was spot-on, no fret buzz. Made trying guitars actually enjoyable instead of frustrating.
• Sweet trade-in deal on my old gear — they gave me way more than I expected and made the whole process painless.
• Price-matched an online deal without any hassle and still threw in free strings and a setup.
Store was clean, organized, not overly crowded on a Saturday, and the whole vibe just felt welcoming. If you’re on the fence about buying local vs. online, Guitar Center made the case for walking in and playing before you buy.
10/10 would recommend. Already planning my next visit for a new acoustic.

I can’t say enough great things about the Guitar Center team in Appleton. Andrew, my sales associate, was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Corey, the store manager, and the rest of the team operate at an incredibly high level and clearly take pride in their work.

I ordered two guitars online from another location to be delivered to this location, and despite issues with the transaction itself, the Appleton staff handled everything flawlessly. They were patient, accommodating, positive, and respectful the entire time—turning a frustrating situation into an outstanding customer experience.

This team truly represents the Guitar Center brand at its absolute best. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer service deserve recognition. Because of this experience, the Appleton store is now my first and only stop when I’m searching for a guitar. If there’s an award for excellence, this team has earned it.
