Dr. Walls grew up in Indiana and attended high school at University High School in Carmel. An avid athlete, Dr. Walls was injured playing sports in high school—something she said deeply influenced her decision to pursue a career in sports medicine. Dr. Walls is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and fellowship-trained in sports medicine.
