I had been dealing with a recurring mouse problem in my apartment, and Dustin was the first person who took the time to really inspect the issue. He helped identify the likely entry point, sealed it carefully, and explained everything clearly. He was professional, patient, and genuinely cared about resolving the problem.

This company bought my house from my old rental company, I was paying 870 for a run down rental. They without fixing anything kept demanding $1,300 for a nearly unlivable house. Alpine didn’t want to fix anything so here we are. There is a hole in my ceiling, mold in the basement ect. They said they are a rehab company and will help. But they did not, they are disorganized and sketchy. They changed my lease 2 times and removed the one for $900 after they gave it to me then said no they changed their minds. They told me they planned to sell the house and then the new lease had a clause that gave me 60 days to move out after they sell it. So they wanted me to stay while the tore my house to shreds and pay 1,300 while doing so. They believe people do not understand the law and will play on that. Whatever you do, do not do anything with this company. Now after they upset my roommate, he took the rent and left me alone.

Been without hot water for 5 days. No one has gotten back to me. They keep sending me texts saying they’re working on it, but I haven’t seen anyone come out to see what the problem is. I’m at my wits end. I should be able to take a hot shower in my home. This should be an emergency for them, but I guess it’s not. Wish they were as eager to fix the water as they are to collect my rent money.

Trying to rent from them is awful. I went And toured a house, really liked it. But parts of the fence were falling down, there was damage to a kitchen cupboard and there was a tire and other trash in the yard. I called and left a voicemail saying I was interested but had some questions. I also emailed, said I was interested but had questions. Mark texted me later that night to say he got my voicemail. I replied And asked him questions about if repairs would be made and again let him know I was very interested. He never responded again. Nobody called, nobody emailed. I have Since found a rental, but I’m not sure what you have to do to actually be able to either talk or correspond with someone. Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

Very shady, unprofessional, and the definition of slumlords. I would HIGHLY avoid renting from them. I lived at the Llanhurst Apartments and in the year I lived there the owners had changed management companies 3 times.

In August my car was vandalized (a brick thrown at my windshield and it was egged). I did not get it back for 2 1/2 months and the second management company was extremely understanding that it would heavily affect my income on top of having extreme mental and physical health issues.

The building is heavily infested with roaches and thankfully Kline Properties had exterminators come out but around the time City Place was taking over it was due for another round, which they never did so the bugs got very bad. During the process of City Place taking over management the entire building did not have heat for over a week at the end of January, which was coldest month of 2026. I received one 300 sq portable radiator for my 2 bedroom 1,200 sq apartment, which is not adequate as temporary heating. I was unable to stay in my apartment and had to stay at a friends house because of it.

City Place officially took over February 1st and because of the heating issue with no communication besides a paper taped downstairs well over 5 days of having no heat, I put in my 30 day notice on February 6th. They wrongly filed an eviction on me on February 19th AFTER I put my notice in and requested a payment plan. I called them, was told to send my payment plan over (even though I had already emailed them asking to set one up and never got a response?) and it would be forwarded to the owners for approval. I heard NOTHING back. I was charged $500 for legal fees, ALL of March’s rent, utilities, pet fees, and etc. although they changed the locks on March 10th.
It is an absolute shame the way I was treated as a young adult already struggling with financial and extreme physical health issues, and I wouldn’t doubt they’ve done this to people in far worse situations than I am.
Kline Properties were extremely respectful, kind, understanding and communicated to the building better than City Place did while they were taking over management.

Please stop treating tenants like they are a paycheck. They are human beings just like you deserving of respect!!!!!

Edit: You can look up City Place on my case to view how many wrongful evictions they file on people just for the property manager Erica to tell you “you can get it sealed”
I’m sure they will comment about how I still have a balance but because of above said circumstances I’m sure that would be obviously understandable to most.
