In a very short period of time it gained the reputation of being one of the finest Cecchetti based schools in the country for training students of all ages and levels of ability, in the discipline of dance. The Academy offers classes in… The SEAN BOUTILIER ACADEMY OF DANCE was established in 1983. In a very short period of time it gained the reputation of being one of the finest Cecchetti based schools in the country for training students of all ages and levels of ability, in the discipline of dance. The Academy offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro, Latino, Pointe Work and Variations. In 1991 it received recognition for its high standard of training from the government and became a Registered Educational Institution. Whether teaching an appreciation and love for dance or the professional dancers and teachers of tomorrow, the Academy keeps each individual's goals in mind. Many of our students have gone on to continue their training in dance and related studies at such other highly recognized institutions as The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, L'Ecole Superieure De Danse Du Quebec, The National Ballet School, Ryerson Polytechnic University and York University, as well as several international schools and dance companies of world class status. The Etobicoke school has good dance floors, well prepared teachers. The lockers and hallways ambiance give the taste of scenes from 'Fame' movie. The staff is friendly, specially in September when students and parents are back to sign up new contracts. Cannot stop the feeling that, behind the professional appearance in fact Sean Boutilier school is a money making scheme. I base this affirmation on the fact that regardless of the talent, only the perceived wealthy students are encouraged to stay in the school. Teachers are trained to marginalize in very discrete ways the perceived
