He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington here in Seattle. His general surgery residency was completed in Denver, CO at Saint Joseph Hospital. Following residency Dr. Olsen spent 7 years as a military surgeon in the United States Air Force, highlighted by earning a Bronze Star during his deployment to Afghanistan in 2012.
