This company came on April 11th 2012, Firm Fence came to fix our fence in the backyard. The dimensions of the posts were as followed. 9 posts that are 12 feet with 4 feet in the ground and 8 feet out of the ground. This is the standard requirement when dealing with a fence of this size. When it came time for the workers to leave, they came to ask my mother for the remainder of the payment. My mother looked out the backyard and noticed that the fence posts seemed to be quite higher than the remainder of the fence. It was at this time she went outside and measured the top of each post. All 9 posts measured 1 ½ feet taller than the remainder of the fence. The fence is 8 feet. Once my mother had measured that the fence was 9 ½ feet out of the ground and 2 ½ in she commented to the labourers that the job was not done properly. They insisted that it was done and her measurements were wrong, but my mother refused to pay them. The workers waited 2 hours after this disagreement for another owner by the name of Daniel to come and inspect the situation. Daniel explained that he came, not under his will because he reviewed the incident and knew it was done in properly. The owner name Laurie then phoned my mother that night and tried to bargain with her, providing my mother with a 4 year to 8 year warranty for the fence. My mother still refused. It was at this point Laurie said that nothing else could be done and labours would be sent over to measure the fence and if it was 3 feet than the fence would be left. At 9:20pm a lady by the name Marie phoned. She said that the fence was in fact 3 feet and that my mother had given her wrong information. Now this fence of ours in the backyard is attached to a highway. It acts as a wind tunnel. The difference between 2 ½ feet in the ground and 4 feet is quite obvious when trying to a support a structure of this size. I am beside myself at the poor service my mother has received. Not only was she treated with disrespect, but she was mislead, black mailed and ripped off of her money. She put down a deposit of $900 for work that was not even completed. Our backyard still has nails in it, pieces of fencing and is very uneven at the trim and the bottom of the fence, with holes and gaps. She had to go out and measure the fence herself to assure the work was done properly. She was still told how she was wrong and the measurements were not taken properly. Finally after debating, the labourers agreed that is was 2 ½ feet, but nothing else could be done. Now my mother is left with a fence, nails, holes, gaps and posts that will not support themselves for more than a few years. As of now,we have been told that we will receive a bill in the mail for the total amount and no compensation will be given because they do not believe their employees nor there customers . They still as of now state that the posts are 4 feet in the ground. As of now, April 19th 2012, nothing has been done. I am writing this review to persuad all possible customers to chose another company to save them from the same stressful, time consuming and costly harm which myself and my mother have gone through. Please take this review seriously and be cautious with this company,
