I began my career working at a local public accounting firm wherein I started in reception and worked my way up while completing my schooling to become a Certified General Accountant. I received my CGA designation in 2000 and a degree in General Studies from the University of Athabasca in 2002. In January 2003, I changed career paths and started with the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue as a Consumer Tax Branch Auditor. In February 2007, I became a Senior Tax Auditor. In July 2011, I joined the team at Community Futures East Kootenay and became the Financial Manager while doing my own part-time public accounting firm. As of January 2019, I ventured into my own full-time public accounting firm… and here I am today! I offer complete accounting and tax related services for individuals, proprietorships, partnerships, corporations and non-profit organizations throughout the East Kootenays and beyond. I also offer complete training and support for QuickBooks Desktop. I can set you up for success by providing you with training at a pace that works for you so that you can maintain your own books.
