He is director of the Neonatal Simulation Lab. He is also the director of the Neonatal Therapeutic Hypothermia Program.He received the Armstrong Award for Excellence in Quality & Safety in the 2018 Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Excellence Awards.Dr. Escoto earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, College of Health Sciences and Hospital and a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at University of Connecticut Health Sciences Center.In addition to many others, he retains membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Pinellas County Medical Society and the Florida Society of Neonatologists.
