I had the best experience here at Premier ER & Urgent Care in San Marcos, TX. My family and I were visiting from California and while we were staying with our family my 3 year old daughter was bitten by a cat, we rushed her over to urgent care and was seen within 15 minutes - we had all of our questions answered and the staff were so welcoming and nice! I’ve never had such a great experience with an urgent care. Urgent care in California could never give us care like this, if I could come back here everytime I needed care I would hop on a plane immediately!! Thank you so much 🤍

I went in after a fall resulting in a head injury while we were on vacation. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. There was a very short wait time. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I needed a CT and some stitches and Dr. Kann, Angie and Kevin were great throughout the process. I accidentally left my earrings when I removed them for the CT, and Erica mailed them to me along with a sweet note.

As three other reviews have mentioned I also had an unpleasant experience with Dr. Chen. I went to the Urgent Care with chest tightness and high blood pressure 158/125 in the hopes of getting some clarity and further testing. Dr. Chen listed a number of testing options such as x-ray, Blood work or an EKG I asked for his advice on what testing HE would recommend he seemed disinterested and annoyed stating what would I like to do. IDK I’m not a medical
Professional. After asking for his advice again as the only medical professional in the room. what testing I should do? He replied rather disingenuously might I add. what would you like to do? So frustrating. Also he asked multiple times, if I was on birth control or pregnant etc I told him multiple times that I was neither pregnant nor on birth control. He then proceeded to ask again if I was pregnant or on birth control pills. The answer is still No it hasn’t changed from last time you asked five minutes prior.

This facility is staffed with people who care & listen to you. I was there around five hours today and underwent quite a bit of testing to identify a pain that literally forced me to DO SOMETHING NOW! Premier staff took the time to explain everything to me, rather than acting like arrogant dominators.

There are ER's in San Marcos that will let you leave sick without a conscious thought. I won't name them because I don't want to get sued. However, I recommend that you read the reviews before you get ensnared in a difficult situation.

I HATE hospitals and put off going to them as long as possible. But I am so happy that I went into Premier today.

Went in Tuesday at 6:55pm for a sore throat and was admitted into room and looked at but was in a room until 9:15pm when I was released. All that for a sore throat and on top of that I was late getting my items from curbside pickup. The only thing they said was they were waiting on Doctor Asundi to write the scripts. They even said I’d leave with some medication to help. I didn’t get any medication so I was suffering that night. By the time I left no pharmacy was open for me to drop off the scripts. That was a waste of my time and also the whole time I was in the room not one person stopped by to check on me or ask if I needed anything. No reception and no WiFi unless you ask for it. 2 freaking hours just for a sore throat which they said was an ear infection. I will not be going back if I’m going to be waiting on that doctor (Doctor Asundi). Too slow!!! I should have been in and out within 30 mins. 2 hours wasted which could have been vital. Also the lady at the front desk was rude when I came in at 6:55pm. The first thing you have to deal with shouldn’t be a rude receptionist especially if you are sick.
