She got her degree in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Upon graduating, she accepted an apprenticeship in Fine Gold Jewelry in Calabasas, California. After 3 years, she started her own business, and within five years she was selling to Nordstrom, Fred Segal, Warner Brother's and Burbank Studios.
