His interest in the medical field was initially sparked while working at an orthotic and prosthetic clinic as a senior in high school. He later completed his residency at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital where he obtained training from leaders in their respective fields. He has been a guest speaker at multiple conferences, participated in research and published in several journals.
