He is particularly interested in sports-related injuries and has the privilege of caring for several professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. Dr. Cardoso is a clinical assistant professor of hand and upper extremity surgery at Florida International University, where he is core faculty for the hand surgery and primary care sports medicine fellowship programs. Moreover, he teaches Medical Students and Athletic Trainer residents. He lectures nationally and internationally on a variety of topics, including nerve, wrist, and elbow injuries. He is involved in both clinical and basic science research and has co-authored several medical articles and book chapters.
