Sysco delivers to a catering company on a commercial street near us. Everyday, they park their trucks on our residential street, blocking access, and making it unsafe for the residents in the neighbourhood. We have an elementary school 1 block away, and there are many seniors and other people who use mobility devices. Because of the Sysco delivery trucks blocking the sidewalk, they often have to walk down the middle of the road to get past. The trucks also block the parking for another business, so their customers end up parking on our street and blocking access to our driveways. They also cause traffic to back up into the intersection, making it dangerous for residents of the area to get home. Finally, their deliveries often take over 1 hour to complete, and they leave the compressor running the whole time, creating excessive noise. Sysco should not be making deliveries to this business from the residential street. There is plenty of parking on the commercial street where the business is located for them to park. When I called to talk to someone about this dangerous situation that they were causing, the person on the phone was rude.

I am writing to request a direct email address to file a formal safety complaint regarding a very dangerous near-miss with one of your trucks.

I was biking straight through an intersection with a green bicycle signal. Your driver, who was right next to me, pulled slightly ahead, swung to the left, and then forced a sudden right turn directly across my path without checking his blind spot.

Instead of apologizing for almost hitting me, the driver blamed me and acted like he had the right of way, completely ignoring basic traffic rules.

I have a photo of the truck and need to report this serious safety issue to your management team. Please reply with a direct contact email address where I can send my formal complaint and evidence.

(Truck ID: 243205) on King St W this morning (Aug 21, around 8:35 AM).

Thanks

Worst company. Came here to deliver took 5 hrs for 5 skids. Should hire some efficient forklift drivers to save drivers time.

Gate opens at 5.45 am . Clean washroom for drivers inside shipping. Decent load/offload time

I am here for the delivery and have been waiting since early morning.Multiple trucks that arrived after us have already been unloaded and left, while we are still waiting. There is no clear communication or timeline provided. This is very frustrating for us and shows disrespect for our time.Worst experience ever. Sysco needs to improve their poor management and the way their employees treats drivers.

The staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional.Instead of doing their jobs, they talk down to drivers, ignore questions and have the same excuse that “their system is not working”.This is totally unacceptable.
