Overall the food was good, except the plant based burger which was pretty bland.
Our main issue was with service. Food and drinks were slow to arrive. Server was not forthcoming with the menu (We had a 4yr old and ordered stuff separately until we figured there was a kids menu combo that would have been cheaper).
We also ordered a watermelon mojito which had a fruit fly in it. We noticed it half way into the drink. Server asked if we needed a replacement (we didn’t) but charged for the entire drink in the bill.

Our meals were delicious. Will definitely come back again. I had the Kung Pao Bowl and my brother had the Hot Albertan. Fantastic service from Pamela. The plate of pickles to start is a nice touch.

We had a great experience at Pickle Barrel in Conestoga Mall, North Waterloo. The staff was friendly and attentive, our bartender Gaby was absolutely fabulous with the BEST aperol spritz on this side of the pond. and the food was really tasty. We ordered the Steak Frites, Calamari, Smoked Meat Sandwich, and Aperol Spritz from their happy hour menu, and everything was excellent. Great food, great service, and a very enjoyable atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend anyone visiting Conestoga Mall to check out Pickle Barrel.

Amazing place in Waterloo to spend quality time with friends and family. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Pam took great care of us, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely come back!

Staff were fine but food was kinda gross. When you get a $32 shrimp and lobster pasta u expect it to taste good but it was unseasoned, and honestly tasted horrible.
Ceaser salad was good I guess. And I liked the pickles they brought to the table.
