I've waited to review until the re-launch of our boat this week. Being a rookie captain and new to the coast, I didn't know much about marinas. It was my good fortune that Noank Shipyard had a slip available at the beginning of the season, and it's been a joy from there.

As a matter of location, there are three big positives. The gas dock on premises allows for re-fueling at times of less activity and no stress about going out and trying to find fuel on the water. The presence of Costello's Clam Shack (with its magnificent deck) is SO convenient for grabbing something to eat before or after going out, especially when hosting friends. Being located beyond the Amtrak bridge means less delay getting out into the sound from Mystic.

It's a small, friendly place where other owners are generally kind and willing to help out.

The staff and service have been outstanding. Gail and Dan in the office were patient and helpful with my endless questions and switched me to a slip better suited to my lack for experience for my second season there. Tabitha in service displayed similar patience as well as helpful advice as I navigated (yes, a pun) my first service cycle and the installation of a windlass. All the work, including decommissioning, commissioning, basic service, as well as the windlass were performed with the highest quality and on time. My boat is happily sitting in its slip at Noank Shipyard waiting for the first nice day.

I love everything about Noank Shipyard and feel exceedingly lucky to have ended up there. I can recommend it with unconditional enthusiasm.

I would give Noank Shipyard 6 stars if possible. My experience has been fantastic. The service department is top notch. We have needed help a couple of times and staff was knowledgeable and efficient. Gale in the front office, Tabatha in service and John the electrician could not be nicer or easier to work with. This is a very well run marina and shipyard. Highly recommend!

We went to Abott's and walked the neighborhood. We could go out on the docks at the shipyard but it was neat to see the ships in the harbor. Very clean and the docks looked like a secure place to dock you boat with suitable equipment for boat repairs.
