This company really values their customers, and it shows. I reached out to 2nd gen after a hail storm and they were extremely helpful from the beginning all the way through. The claim took well over a year to settle and The entire team was professional, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process.

Brad, the owner, was fantastic to work with and always took the time to answer my questions and come out to the property to help with the hail assessments which required several site visits.

Lyla in administration was an absolute lifesaver when it came to guiding me through my hail claim. She spent several months guiding me on my difficult claim and advising me on how to move everything forward.

As for the work itself, all of the trades were excellent — punctual, professional, and respectful of my property. They also maintained a very clean workspace throughout the project.

I highly recommend this company to anyone needing roofing or hail damage repairs. Their customer service and workmanship were outstanding.

I had a very disappointing experience with Second Generation Exteriors.

After hail repairs were completed on my newer home, a professional home inspection later identified a disconnected bathroom exhaust duct in the attic near the roof vent area. My builder confirmed in writing that the ducting had previously been properly connected before the roofing work and also advised that, on newer homes, ducts may need to be disconnected/reconnected during vent replacement.

Rather than arranging a reasonable inspection to fairly determine the cause, the company repeatedly denied any possible involvement and communication became increasingly dismissive and confrontational. I was first quoted a $500 inspection/service fee, which later increased to $750 during the discussion.

What was most frustrating was not only the lack of willingness to investigate the concern professionally, but also the tone used in responses when I was simply trying to understand what happened and resolve the issue fairly.

Unfortunately, this was not my first difficult experience with this company. Following the 2024 hail claim, there were already long delays involving insurance negotiations and project completion, and at one point front downspouts were removed and not promptly reinstalled, which contributed to drainage issues during heavy rainfall.

Based on my overall experience, I would not use or recommend this company again.

We had our roof and siding replaced after a major hailstorm, and I can’t say enough good things about our experience with this contractor. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and far less stressful than we expected.

What really stood out was how helpful they were in dealing with the insurance company. They guided us through every step, made sure nothing was missed, and advocated on our behalf to ensure the work was properly covered. That alone made a huge difference.

The quality of the work on both the roof and siding is excellent, and the crew was efficient, respectful, and kept everything clean throughout the project.

A special thank you to Lyla, who was truly exceptional. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything stayed on track. Her communication and support made the whole experience much easier.

I would highly recommend this contractor to anyone needing roofing or siding work, especially after storm damage.

These guys are the real deal. They are very knowledgeable and honest in the insurance process. Brad did the initial assessment with me and noticed the various errors by the insurance adjuster. Without 2nd Generation, they would have left my entire roof which was destroyed by the hail. The insurance company was also only covering around $200 for broken windows until the reassessment. Lyla was great to keep things up to date and James kept the crews coming in steadily during a very busy time. If you have an insurance claim on a residence, this is the only way to go. I had a fantastic experience with this company. Their communication was excellent from start to finish — any questions I had were answered the same day or by the next day. The work sites were always kept extremely clean, with no nails, blades, or debris left lying around. The crew was professional, reliable, and clearly takes pride in their work. Truly a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

Thank you Lyla and Brad for helping us all the way to fix everything exterior on our house that was caused by the 2024 hail damages. Their craftmanship is excellent and I have 100% confident in them. They help me make sure my insurance assessment covers all the damages and is willing to negotiate with my insurance provider that we are paid at a reasonable price to ensure everything that was damaged by the hails were fixed. Their trade people are polite and will clean up everything after the work is done. They used magnet to ensure no roofing nails are left behind on your yards. I highly recommend them to anyone who are looking for roofing company that they will do the work right back up with warranty.
