I have found that immediately upon moving in I was accosted by one of the management(Cheryl Henning) scolding me like a child for a few minutes, quoting the rules about noise at night, as I had a last few boxes to move from the elevator around 10 at night. She was very unpleasant which I found unusual from a management that wants to keep its tenants. Also I have been off work due to covid restrictions in my industry for about Two months but am back to work now, so I informed the management about my situation and that the rent would be paid by the 11th of March. As I have not had any issues with rent up to now I didn't think it would be too big of a problem for them to wait until the 11 this once. However the response I received from Cheryl Henning was basically, "We cant help you, the rent is do on the first and that is that". She then went on to quote the Tenancy Act to me saying what the government allows her to do to me. I have never been treated this way by a landlord in my life. Today I got an email from her saying that the rent for March was late. I also found this strange as on one occasion I paid on the 4th of the month and didn't receive anything, not even any kind of warning The only time anyone has taken an instant disliking to me the way this Cheryl Henning seems to have, is if they were racists as I am a person of color. I don't know for sure if this is her issue but, if I don't get evicted by this person, I will be looking for other accommodations regardless and looking for a way out of the agreement because I have a daughter that lives with me and as long as this Cheryl is in the position she is I do not feel secure here. I wouldn't chance it. The only way I would stay here is if the let her go.
