I went to the South Pasadena Publix today anround 11:20am, and experienced something that left me deeply upset. I was the only customer at the self-checkout, buying a single bowl of fruit. I had no purse, just a small card holder, and was in the middle of inserting my debit card when a female store employee went out of her way to approach me and ask if I had heard the announcement about Keylime pie.
The interaction felt unnecessary and targeted. There was no reason for her to interrupt me at that exact moment. I did not need help, I was not causing any issue, and the timing made it feel like I was being watched or profiled.
I called the store afterward and spoke with the manager, who apologized and said he would speak with the employee and review the footage. I appreciate that he took the call, but this should never have happened in the first place.
I am tired of being treated with suspicion while simply shopping. I will also be filing a complaint with Publix corporate.

I went to the bakery to ask about a Chantilly cake for a bday and the lady behind the counter was rude and dismissive and the other 2 ladies were kinda dumbfounded. They were extremely unhelpful and indifferent. Then I went to the deli to order a sandwich and they are clueless about moving the line when clearly the people there are on lunch. You can be nice and professional all at the same time. I don't have all day to wait while you are talking and asking about family members to people that have no where to go. It is really really bad customer service. I will never go to that Publix again. Sorry and I am an extremely an easy happy person.

One week ago today I visited the deli to get 1/4 pound Publix brand sweet ham. There was one woman ahead of me, not having been served yet. behind the counter was a gal scurrying to fill orders, possibly call ins and a man sealing pre-cut boarshead meats and labeling them. he never made eye contact with me or the other customer and the female said she’d be with us, but that was after I stood there for at least eight minutes. this must be the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered for me to have had to wait over 10 -15 minutes for a quarter pound of ham, never again I’ll travel the distance to a different Publix.

BOGO deals as far as the eye can see. Amazing deli and fresh bakery offerings, bright and airy atmosphere, and friendly employees. It's a southern staple and a must visit. 10/10 recommend.

Emina, in the deli, almost ruined my son’s graduation party. I ordered a cake, large sub platter, veggie tray and 2 popcorn chicken-large trays. EVERYTHING was ready except the sub tray. Emina told me that she had no sub tray ready. I showed her my email confirmation that plainly said “large sub platter”. Still she curtly stated that she has no tray. She rudely suggested that I enter the sub line and order my subs for 30 people!!!! She stated she had no one who could work on it and it went from possibly being resolved in 30, to 45, than an hour. Here I am with a couple hundred dollars worth of food ordered and ready in my cart (including hot popcorn chicken and cold veggies) picking up in route to his party and this Publix supervisor is not only not being helpful, but she was rude! I asked to speak to a manager and she once again, curtly stated that there is no manager on duty. I went to the front and asked a very sweet young lady about a manager and she directed me to Brian in the bakery, who she said was in charge while the manager is absent. Brian found the tray, THAT WAS ALREADY MADE, and saved the day!!! Brian was patient, professional, and a joy to deal with. Publix is usually amazing. A bad apple can have a significant impact but thankfully, Brian embodies the service I have come to value about Publix. This would have been a 1 star for Emina, a 5 star for Brian. The bakery did an amazing job on the pull apart cupcake cake!
