She also consults with high-risk patients, such as those with a family history of breast cancer or prior breast biopsies showing atypical findings. Dr. Vaughan is one of the few breast surgeons in metropolitan St. Louis who perform ductoscopies (small camera to look inside duct to allow minimal excision) to evaluate pathological nipple discharge.
