My husband and I arrived in Kelowna late last night on an Alaska flight from Seattle. We both have Nexus cards which in most airports does not require lengthy questioning by customs security personal. Last night the Nexus security personal was questioning each Nexus passenger at length. The rest of the passengers were moving smoothly and effeciantly through security and the Nexus line just got longer.
When we finally were through with our interegation and waiting for our luggage other passengers were commenting that if they see that particular female employee on the Nexus line that they will go in the other line without using their Nexus card.
I understand the need for tight security but the reason we pay to have our Nexus card is to move quickly & securely through security. If the female officer had felt that there was a security issue then I would understand but she was officious in a condescending way.
