She has been a staff member of Missouri Baptist Medical Center since 1998 and now joins BJC Medical Group. Dr. de Vera received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in 1989. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in 1993 at Washington University School of Medicine and immediately entered private practice joining West End Women's Health, later renamed Women To Women Health Care. Dr. de Vera has spent her entire career specializing in women's health care. After 13 years of a busy OB-GYN practice, she re-focused on only Gynecology. She now emphasizes women's health care for all stages of a woman's reproductive life: puberty and teenage menstrual cycles, contraception, STI prevention and screening, preconception counseling, cancer screening, dysfunctional bleeding evaluation and management, and pro-active discussions about healthy aging and the menopausal transition.
