C & M Roofing and Construction / Michael Iantorno (CCB# 230624), were hired to replace my roof, replace 4 rain gutters/down spouts, replace 2 skylights and install a new solar tube and replace the chimney counter flashing.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS.

1. He failed to complete the job and abandoned the job site leaving 23 bundles of shingles on my roof for me to deal with along with other roofing materials and debris.

2. He replaced the two Velux skylights with incorrect models of the Velux skylights using Curb Mounted Skylights rather than Deck Mounted Skylights (which my house has) thus voiding my warranty - this has been confirmed in writing by Velux and the contractor hired to correct the problem. He refused to correct this problem.

3. He did not install the solar tube which I had paid for up front at the time of signing the Proposal/Contract. I have had to hire another contractor to complete this installation.

4. He installed 3 rain gutters which were too short to catch water exiting the roof corners. He did not replace a down spout which he had removed leaving the underground drain pipe wide open. He refused to correct these problems when I made him aware of the problem.

5. He did not remove and replace old chimney counter flashing which was included in the original proposal.

6. He failed to replace plywood in SW corner of my home that had 2 visible holes from tree limb damage and previously installed Dutch drain system. Yet charged me for erroneous plywood.

I was forced to file a complaint with the State of Oregon Construction and Contractors Board, CCB.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ANYONE CONSIDERING HIRING C & M ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION THOROUGHLY REVIEW ALL 3 LICENSES, ACTIVE = 230624. EXPIRED = 215940, 23888 AND ASSOCIATED COMPANIES WITH THE CCB, AND THEIR CORRESPONDING SUSPENSIONS, SANCTIONS, CLAIMS, COMPLAINTS AND DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS.
