I am very disappointed with my experience at Thamor.
I brought my earring in to have the hook replaced. I was clearly quoted $20–$40, and I was specifically told that the price would not exceed $40. The quoted price was also written down on a paper, so I had every reason to expect that this would be the final cost.
When I came back to pick up my earring, I was told that the price was now $60. When I brought up the original quote, I was told that the $40 maximum was a mistake and that the person who gave me the quote was not very experienced with pricing.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but this is not a fair way to handle a customer. If a business provides a written quote and specifically confirms that the price will not exceed a certain amount, the customer should be able to rely on that information. I also drove quite a distance to pick up my earrings because I had heard good things about this store.
The issue is not simply the $20 difference — it is the lack of accountability for a quote that was given and written down by the store. I expected better customer service and transparency, and unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed.
