I chose a career… I am currently accepting new patients for Weight Management only. I have known since I was 10 years old that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I knew I wanted to be in a position to make a difference in peoples lives by partnering with them on their health care journey. I chose a career in family medicine because I believe in a holistic approach and what better way to do that than to be able to treat an entire family. My philosophy of care is that the physician/patient relationship is a partnership. A strong partnership requires engagement by both parties. To engage effectively both parties must feel respected, they must feel they are heard, they must feel a mutual trust. If this foundational relationship is laid, then the actions and activities necessary to heal or maintain optimal health, have a greater opportunity to manifest. In my spare time, I am active in church and community organizations. I enjoy cooking, traveling and spending time with my husband and three children. Read more
