Goals of care are determined by my patient, and it is my task to provide my best advice and recommended treatments so that they can make an informed decision. I like to think that I treat the patient, not the medicine - if we can accomplish our goals without invasive treatment and/or medication, I consider that a success. For others however, medication is necessary, and I enjoy minimizing medication use as much as possible. My clinical areas of special interest include diabetes management, hypertension, kidney disease and mental health. Outside of work, I enjoy music, family time with my four kids and wife, and backpacking. I have goal to improve my Spanish capabilities in the clinic and to play the piano better. Read more
