I recently had an appointment at REX Vascular Specialists in the UNC Rex Medical building in Wakefield. It is located on the third floor and is easy to find, as the building has signs directing you.

The Center has plenty of free parking, but the front does tend to fill up, so I park in the back in the shade.

When I arrived, the staff were very friendly and efficient in checking me in. My appointment was on time, and I got called back for the Doppler ultrasound. It was a non-invasive, minor procedure during which the tech explained what would happen and made me feel comfortable. I was very fascinated by it, and the tech let me watch some of it and see the colors, besides just listening. I appreciated that, as I am curious.

My results came back that evening after the vascular specialist reviewed the results, so that was a fast turnaround.

This is a very busy office, so you might have to wait for an initial appointment.
