I initially built a clinical foundation by earning a degree in Exercise Physiology, which served as my entry point into the cardiovascular world through work in stress testing and pacemaker clinics. It was during this formative period that I discovered the Physician Assistant profession. Since graduating from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program, I have dedicated my career to the comprehensive management of heart failure patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. My approach to patient care is centered on the art of active listening. I believe that effective treatment requires not only clinical expertise but also meaningful education; I strive to empower my patients by helping them understand their conditions, identifying the lifestyle factors within their control, and establishing realistic expectations for their recovery timeline.
