Dr. Burk has been in private practice at Ear Nose and Throat Service in Chesterfield, Missouri, for 25 years. He specializes in treating diseases of the sinus, allergies, ear problems, and throat. Dr. Burk is board certified in Head and Neck Surgery by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is an active member in that organization’s leadership, currently serving as vice president of the Board of Governors. In the past, he has received the Presidential Award and has twice received the Board of Governors Award. Currently, Dr. Burk is an attending physician in the Department of Otolaryngology, as well as a teaching physician, and has been the Program Director for the Otolaryngology & Oro/Facial Plastic Surgery Resident Training Program at St. Lukes Des Peres Hospital since 1995. Dr. Burk received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in otorhinolaryngology and oro/facial plastic surgery at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) in 1987. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, golf, and spending time with his wife and daughter. Bringing together passion, dedication, and a combined experience of more than 63 years, Dr. Burk and Dr. Sheldon L. Davis have a mission to provide state-of-the-art care for patients seeking proper diagnosis and relief from common ear, nose, and throat symptoms. Dr. Burk was one of the first physicians in the St. Louis area to be trained in balloon sinuplasty and has since performed more than 400 of these minimally invasive procedures.
