Honestly, I don’t understand the hype around this place. I’ve given this place a solid try by eating here twice.

The first time I went and dined in with my boyfriend. He did actually like his sandwich. I can’t remember the name, but it was the one with the pimento cheese. I got the Korean sandwich, and my sandwich was so soggy with sauce that the bun was falling apart and the breading on the chicken was not one bit crispy, but instead had a mushy texture and kept falling completely off the cutlet. The flavor of the sauce was just too salty with a little bit of sweet, but no real flavor profile other than that. When I get a fried chicken sandwich I want it to have some crunch. That’s half the fun of eating fried chicken, in my opinion. The tots were ok, but nothing to write home about.

I got one of the dirty sodas, which sounded good in theory, but I really didn’t like it and ended up just throwing it away. My boyfriend got the house made strawberry lemonade and said it just tasted too tart. Upon trying it, I agreed. I’m the type of person who almost always gets lemonade if they make it in house, but did not have a high opinion of this one. He didn’t end up finishing his drink either.

Today we ordered take out from Birdcall for our whole family. My boyfriend was there to pick it up when it came out, and we live only 5 minutes up the street.

This time was the same- my breading just keeps falling off the chicken, even though this time I got no sauce on my sandwich. That’s super disappointing and makes it harder to eat. My son doesn’t like the chicken tenders either and says they taste bad. I tried a piece, and I don’t think it tastes bad, but it is definitely bland.

All of the chicken seems a bit overcooked judging by the dark color of the breading that has gone a bit past the golden brown you expect with good fried chicken as well as the slightly rubbery texture of the chicken.

My boyfriend ordered separately but picked up both our orders. He got home and said his Starry has no flavoring whatsoever. I tried my son’s lemonade and it again is just kind of sour in flavor, with not enough sugar added. I thought maybe the first time we ate their they maybe just had their ratios off in that batch of lemonade, but I specifically didn’t order it with my meal this time because of the experience last time. I guess my instincts were correct because this time it still wasn’t good.

Overall I just always end up wondering why I spent the money to eat at this place when the food and drinks are so lackluster. I’d sooner eat at Raising Cane’s where the chicken is super crispy, tasty, and the breading stays intact, and they have delicious lemonade that they make in house.

I will say that the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice enough and the bathrooms were clean. It was over air conditioned, but that tends to be the case whenever you eat at a restaurant in the summer.

Either way, I still don’t get the hype around this place, re: the reviews I read. If I were you, I’d skip this place.

First time here and last time here. I saw this place and was like looks good well experience was horrible before even getting my food. You can’t edit ✍️ ingredients if you get a box this is completely stupid. Then they don’t have many cheese options. Sat at the table and it had an over abundance smell of cleaning spray. Got my cup for a drink and had no idea where to fill it staff is rude then got my food and chicken is over cooked. I tried it and omg the amount of salt on the chicken is beyond disgusting 🤮. Went to ask for the manager and got serious attitude from the on call asst manager. Explained everything to her she looked at me like it’s my fault for even eating there I asked for a refund she said I’ll refund it. I asked for proof like most stores give you she gave me the original receipt and said I’ll refund you and walked away. This place is not good and the so called asst manager needs to be thought customer service will never be going back to this place or ever try this brand again.

If I am gonna pay 35 for a sandwich, a side, and a waffle thing I expect it to be good. It wasn't. Walking in building and bathrooms look great staff was nice. However... Both chicken meals were ... Overdone moving into burnt, the waffles were both stone cold, and the coleslaw tasted like it was ... Coleslaw but for some reason sweeten with cherry syrup, and no sugar in that sweet tea. And unfortunately every table in the restaurant was sticky. Honestly won't be returning a shame because staff was sweet and the ingredients were solid.

The refuse to give me my 2nd sandwich... Mean while my happy hour chickens burnt while undercooked... Like chunks its gross. 20$ for tots very happy hour thanks lost a regular.

Food was okay nothing special. I got the bees knees and chicken was dry and not much flavor from the honey. Service was amazing and the atmosphere is definitely a vibe
