I was contacted by Insight Global about a short-term contract opportunity. That Friday, I completed a phone screening with an agency recruiter, followed by a virtual interview with the agency’s account manager. They emphasized an urgent hiring timeline, with a possible interview with their client that afternoon and the client seeking recruiters to start on Monday.

I confirmed my availability, and the account manager said she would submit my profile and expected a response within one to two hours. However, I received no update by the end of Friday or by the end of business the following Monday, despite leaving follow-up voicemails on Friday and Monday. I still did not receive a callback or confirmation that my profile was submitted to the client.

I understand that interviews are not guaranteed and hiring plans can change. My concern is the lack of follow through after setting clear expectations. Candidate experience matters, and timely communication is an important part of it. A brief email or callback would have been appreciated, whether the decision was pending or they were not moving forward.

Was hired by Insight Global for a 12-month contract. Although my role and responsibilities have changed since my hire date, I am enjoying the role and feel like I am being fairly compensated. The IG team is responsive to any and all questions and does great with advocating for contractors. Be sure to ask any and all questions possible before signing anything (paid holidays, On-Site/Hybrid/Remote availability, travel requirements, specific responsibilities, company culture, state of the customer, etc.). Additionally, ESPECIALLY ask about/confirm your hire date if/when an offer is made to you so you can know when you'll be starting. Overall, so far so good, thanks IG!
