Good was good, service was great and atmosphere was ok. The green beans and crab cakes were phenomenal. The server was had our glasses filled and bread fresh. Very knowledgeable and aided in decisions.

801 Chophouse was such a great stop in downtown Minneapolis. I’ve had more than my fair share of espresso martinis at this point, and theirs was excellent. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what I want an espresso martini to be.
And then there was the cheesecake. Absolutely amazing. Rich and creamy without being too heavy, with the blueberry topping that made it even better.
Great atmosphere, beautiful bar, excellent service, and two very easy recommendations: order the espresso martini and save room for the cheesecake.

I rarely eat steak or lamb chops out, 1801 is an exception. Everything delicious, cooked to perfection with delicious sides of Wedge salad, sautéed mushrooms and a perfectly cooked baked potato. Brought back memories of the original 1801 in Des Moines. Just as delicious!

My wife and went for our wedding anniversary. Figured we would try something new over regular places. I chose 801 for their wagyu options. Walked in to an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant was not busy. I don’t know if it was how young we looked but our waiter gave us a cold, elusive experience which kind blew my mind for how not busy the restaurant was and compared to other high end restaurants we have ate at.
They didn’t have any wagyu instock. For an appetizer we always have to try calamari. Fantastic. For dinner we did our version of surf and turf. We orders the delmonico and the seafood platter, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Best of both worlds. Steak was cooked perfectly. We didn’t like the mustard sauce on the brussel sprouts. We would go again!

What a pleasant experience! Michelle was so patient and very knowledgeable!
My boyfriend and I loved everything we ordered! His favorite were the lobster bites on the appetizers! Followed by the most flavorful French onion I’ve ever had.
I really am impressed with the cleanliness of this restaurant from the entrance to table setting to the woman’s bathroom. Everything was in tip top shape. Really feel at home! Will be back again!
