She then completed her medical degree at Boston University, followed by an Internal Medicine Internship at Mount Sinai Hospital and an Ophthalmology Residency at SUNY Downstate. She completed fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Children's National Medical Center. After practicing for more than a decade as a pediatric ophthalmologist, providing medical and surgical treatment to children with complex ophthalmic issues and adults with strabismus, she went on to pursue a fellowship in Ophthalmic Oncology at Columbia University and is one of few physicians dual trained in pediatric ophthalmology and ophthalmic oncology.Her clinical research is focused on improving our understanding and management of rare ophthalmic cancers in children and adults, and she is actively involved in numerous clinical trials evaluating novel cancer treatments.
